My practice merges fine art and experimental photography to explore the boundaries between texture, space and image. Working across physical mediums including printing on concrete, collaging, and bookmaking, I use layered compositions to reveal the interconnected patterns bridging natural forms and the built environment.
Driven by a fascination with deep time, my work contrasts the vast timescales embedded within geological surfaces against the brief, fleeting nature of human existence. By translating overlooked natural textures into multi dimensional installations, I move beyond the flat image to create work that can be physically experienced, inviting viewers to reflect on our embodied connection to the earth.
Written in Stone, my ongoing project, explores geological time and human perception. Drawing from my background in climbing, I approach rock as a surface to be read, treating its weathering and erosion as both a visual record of slow transformation and a language of deep time. The work uses alternative photographic and material processes to encourage a quieter, more contemplative way of engaging with the environment.
